ASWPP – Associate of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers
I am delighted to have been told by the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers that I am now an ‘Associate’ member. So what does this mean and how did I achieve it? Well for the Associateship of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (ASWPP), applicants must present evidence of excellence in the techniques and creative interpretation of wedding or portrait photography. I submitted the above panel of 20 wedding images which were then judged by four Fellows looking for creativity, excellent choice of location, light and posing.
Drapers Hall Wedding Photography
Drapers Hall Wedding Photography by Gomes Photography
Back in July last year I was contacted by Dennis Surgeon, a leading UK Toastmaster about photographing his daughters wedding at the stunning Drapers Hall in London. Dennis explained that Abby, his daughter would be getting married at the Sir Christopher Wren designed St Lawrence Jewry Guildhall Yard in London which is the official church of the Lord Mayor of London. The wedding reception was to be at Drapers Hall in the City of London.

As wedding venues go Drapers Hall has to be up there as one of the most spectacular in London. Its unrivalled opulence and grandeur provides the perfect setting for your London wedding.
There really is no finer setting for the most important day of your life than the spectacular elegance of Drapers’ Hall.
Drapers is steeped in history, richly adorned with works of art and wherever you turn you and your guests will not fail to admire the magnificent painted ceilings and sumptuous furnishings. No wonder Drapers’ Hall is the film-makers favourite ‘double’ for Buckingham Palace, and was recently used in the Oscar winning ‘The Kings Speech’.
Westerham Golf Club Wedding Photography
Westerham Golf Club Wedding Photography: I normally shoot weddings in Central London so when I am commissioned to photograph a Kent Wedding I jump at the opportunity. Wedding Photography in Kent is always going to be a treat considering it’s the ‘Garden of England’ and the views from the balcony at Westerham Golf Club you can see how the county obtained that name.
On Saturday 19th May 2012 I was back in Kent to photograph the wedding of Stephanie and James. The couple tied the knot at All Souls Church in Crockenhill, Kent followed by the reception at the beautiful popular Kent wedding venue, Westerham Golf Club.
Wedding Photography at Westerham Golf club
Wedding Photography at Westerham Golf club: Westerham Golf Club in Kent was opened in 1999 and very soon became a very popular wedding venue in Kent. The light and airy Valence Suite is a spacious room with a large balcony overlooking the stunning views of the golf club. The suite is used for the Wedding Ceremony and then transformed into a fantastic setting for the wedding breakfast.
Wedding Photography at Westerham Golf club is perfect both inside the venue and out on the course. The club gives both the bride and groom and your wedding photographer a golf buggy to drive out for some extra special personal shots. This is a fantastic time for the newly weds as it’s a moment by themselves to reflect on the day.
Battery Canary Wharf Wedding Photography
Battery Canary Wharf Wedding Photography: The old Nobu premises sitting on the banks of the Thames over looking Canary Riverside is the fantastic Battery. One of London’s newest and most chic wedding venues Battery really does have it all.
The 4th floor is where you will have your ceremony with floor to ceiling windows directly over looking the Thames and views of the City and Canary Wharf. The room is furnished with colourful and contemporary arm chairs for your guests to relax after the ceremony. Other eye-catching design features include the collection of mesmerising, orb-like Anthony Stern pendant lights.
Royal Festival Hall Wedding Photographer
Royal Festival Hall Wedding Photographer: The Royal Festival Hall Recommended Wedding Photographer: As you may have seen from my recent blog I photographed Anna and Andy’s wedding at the Royal Festival Hall in London. Shortly after the blog went live the Halls emailed me to say how impressed they were with the photos. They then asked if I would like to be their recommended wedding photographer. Of course I would, such an iconic venue it would be an honour.
The Royal Festival Hall is currently redesigning their wedding package which when complete will include Gomes Photography and many of the images from Anna and Andy’s wedding.
Royal Festival Hall Wedding Photography
Royal Festival Hall Wedding Photography: On Saturday 28th April I was at the heart of the Southbank photographing the wedding of Anna and Andy at the Royal Festival Hall. Wedding Photography at the Royal Festival Hall in London really is unique with its great views of the House of Parliament and the Thames.
Opened in 1951 as part of the Festival of Britain the Hall is more commonly known as a performance venue than a wedding venue. However what a great wedding venue it is.
Hall Place and Gardens Wedding Photographer
Hall Place and Gardens Wedding Photographer: Hall Place & Gardens certainly is a regal wedding venue, as soon as you walk in it offers that wow factor, it is very grand and has amazing architecture as you would expect from a Grade I listed Tudor house.
It was originally build for the Lord Mayor of London in the reign of Henry VII and has beautiful landscaped gardens surrounding the house.
