I am delighted to have been told by the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers that I am now an ‘Associate’ member. So what does this mean and how did I achieve it? Well for the Associateship of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (ASWPP), applicants must present evidence of excellence in the techniques and creative interpretation of wedding or portrait photography. I submitted the above panel of 20 wedding images which were then judged by four Fellows looking for creativity, excellent choice of location, light and posing.
Achieving this in my relatively short wedding photography career is very important to me and I am immensely proud. Associateships are not given out easily and I think less than 5% of SWPP members hold the position.
I would like to thank my couples whose wedding images I used in the panel. I would also like to thank every single couple that have booked me to photograph their wedding. 2012 is a very busy year and 2013 is looking to be even busier.
