The Old Rectory in Hastings Civil Partnership – Hayley and Liz
On the 29th December I was in Hastings to photograph the civil partnership of Hayley and Liz at the Old Rectory. I first met the couple back in the Summer at their home in East London to discuss their photography requirements. They wanted a mix of reportage, natural images and some posed images which is exactly my style. I knew straight away that this was going to be one fun day and was delighted when they commissioned me to photograph their civil partnership.
I arrived, as normal a bit early and met up with my assistant for the day John Myall. Thanks John for all your help. The weather was a bit overcast and drizzly but that didn’t matter too much as the celebrations were due to take place indoors, apart from the lantern lighting later in the evening.
Now, to the important part, I was delighted to see a plate of chocolate biscuits in the lounge so as any decent wedding photographer would do I enjoyed a quick coffee, one chocolate biscuit (maybe two) and then made my way up to meet with Liz and Hayley to document the brides getting ready.
Liz and Hayley are so obviously in love and surrounded by such good will and warmth I felt honoured to be part of their celebration. Their family and friends made me feel so welcome all day.
Here are some early photos from the day which i hope you like… Please feel free to comment at the bottom of blog.
