The Royal Festival Hall Recommended Wedding Photographer
As you may have seen from my recent blog I photographed Anna and Andy’s wedding at the Royal Festival Hall in London. Shortly after the blog went live the Halls emailed me to say how impressed they were with the photos. They then asked if I would like to be their recommended wedding photographer. Of course I would, such an iconic venue it would be an honour.
The Royal Festival Hall is currently redesigning their wedding package which when complete will include Gomes Photography and many of the images from Anna and Andy’s wedding.
Pretty chuffed…

Trafalgar Tavern In Greenwich London Wedding Photography
The Trafalgar Tavern in the Royal Borough of Greenwich is rapidly becoming one of my favourite London Wedding Venues. Here I am, bags packed, lenses cleaned and memory cards formatted for the wedding of Vanessa and Mark on Easter Sunday 2012.
As an experienced Trafalgar Tavern Wedding Photographer I know that it doesn’t matter if the weather is not on our side as the light in the venue is simply amazing. Getting married at the Trafalgar Tavern’s Nelson Banqueting Rooms which overlooks the Thames will simply wow your guests.
Here are some of the images from my previous Trafalgar Tavern weddings

"Thanks for the lovely album we (and all the family) really loved having that on the day. All very impressed. Ness and Mark"

“Dear Iain, Lydia and I want to thank you for all your brilliant work photographing our wedding on October 27th 2011 at the Trafalgar Tavern. We are absolutely delighted with the results – you really did capture the day perfectly (and most importantly, our mothers loved them). Thank you for being so unobtrusive, friendly, accomodating and creative – there are a number of shots where we have no idea how you managed to get them! We were delighted to see the first batch of pictures uploaded to your blog so quickly after the wedding – this succeeded in keeping people requesting photos off oir back while we were on honeymoon. Thank you also for being so generous with your time not only on the day, but in preparing double your normal amount of shots for our DVD. Once again, we are thrilled with your photographs and we’re grateful to you for helping to make our wedding day so special. Best regards, Richard & Lydia”

“Hi Iain, just a quick note to say a massive thanks for everything. The photos perfectly captured our wedding day in exactly the way we wanted them to – and we found working with you on the day an absolute pleasure. More than a few of our guests actually didn’t even notice you taking photos at the reception, you were so discreet – and some of the shots from the church and outside The Trafalgar in particular are just stunning. We were hugely impressed, and are already recommending you to every engaged couple that we know. Sasha & Carly, Nov 2011”

The Royal Institution of Great Britain – Wedding Photography
The Royal Institution of Great Britain

Wedding Photography at The Royal Institution of Great Britain
Although an unlikely wedding venue, The Royal Institution of Great Britain is one of the longest surviving legacies of the rich English heritage. Located on Albemarle Street in Mayfair, London and founded in 1799 by some of the well known names in the scientific circles, like Henry Cavendish and George Finch, The Royal Institution is an independent charitable organisation dedicated to spread scientific education and research.
Some of the better known names associated with the Institution include Michael Faraday, Sir Thomas Bernard, Sir Benjamin Thompson, Sir Humphrey Davy, James Dewar, George Porter, Sir Lawrence Bragg, John Kendrew, and many more. A total of 14 scientists attached with the Institution have been bestowed with the prestigious Nobel Prize in different categories.
Introduced by Michael Faraday in 1825, the annual Royal Institution Christmas Lectures form the basis of Institution’s work towards dissemination of scientific knowledge, education and research among the masses. These lectures are broadcast UK-wide through television every Christmas.
The three-storied museum is another highlight of The Royal Institution, which houses the scientific models and displays dating back to 1799. Besides, there is a theme-based restaurant, appropriately titled ‘Time & Space’, which offers contemporary British menu and serves as a purists’delight with traditional afternoon tea and a classic bar menu to lift their sagging spirits.
The Royal Institution As a Wedding Venue
The Royal Institute’s rooms are licensed for weddings, civil ceremonies, and partnerships, which makes it a one-stop-shop for wedding and reception ceremonies. The staff at the Institution is extremely friendly, courteous, and well-behaved. Moreover, they assist and coordinate with you throughout to make the entire event a smooth and enjoyable affair. With in-house audio-visual support and professional event catering on offer, The Royal Institution is an obvious hit among the prospective grooms and brides as their ideal wedding venue.
Your Royal Institution of Great Britain wedding can be made even more memorable if you hire the services of a experienced London wedding photographer, who has an eye for details and understand the historical significance of the venue to bring about the finer aspects of the different locales within the Royal Institution.
