The Wedding Guest
As a pre-wedding ritual, you must inform the hosts about your plans for the wedding day, i.e., whether you’ll be attending the event in person or not. Additionally, in order to help the hosts plan the wedding arrangements, you must inform them on the number of guests you’ll be accompanying with. There are simple set of rules to follow on this. If only your name is written on the invite, only you are invited and no additional guests should ideally accompany you. If ‘plus family’ is mentioned on the invite, you can take along your immediate family members (and not the distant cousins and relatives). If ‘plus guest’ is mentioned, you can take a date along.
These rules should be strictly adhered to since additional guests mean additional expense, which no one likes to bear.
