Greenwich Wedding Photography | Helen and Russell – I recently had the pleasure of photographing Helen and Russell’s wedding at the Trafalgar Tavern in Greenwich, a venue I know very well. I met up with Helen and her bridal party at the Clarendon Hotel in Blackheath for some getting ready shots, as well as some informal family group photos. There was a nice relaxed feeling in the room, which was no surprise as having met Helen a couple of times prior to the wedding I knew this was going to be a lovely wedding.
A Beautiful Greenwich Wedding is the best way to describe Joanna and Vinay’s wedding. On a blistering hot day the couple arrived together at the Ladye Star of the Sea Church in Greenwich to meet their guests. Rarely do I get an opportunity to photograph a couple before the ceremony so this was treat for me.
Joanna and Vinay’s wedding photography coverage was mainly shot in a documentary style but they also wanted a few of my signature wedding photos. My signature shot incorporates the sun and the sky to give the photo a very dramatic feel. The couple made my job much easier as they were very natural in front of the camera and when they were together were very loving towards each other.
Trafalgar Tavern Greenwich Wedding Photography Clare & Paul: and the story goes something like this. I bumped into Clare and Paul simply by chance… I was at the Trafalgar Tavern in Greenwich last year getting ready to photograph a wedding when they came into the Nelson Banqueting Rooms to have a look for their own wedding. We got chatting and I handed them a business card…. a few months later Paul got in touch and their search for a wedding photographer was done 😎
A Right Royal Greenwich Wedding by Gomes Photography: I never normally look at the weather forecast before a wedding but if I had it would have shown me one of those symbols which includes a bit of everything. Driving over to the Radisson Blu Edwardian New Providence Wharf Hotel in Canary Wharf to meet with Luci the weather was awesome, sun was shining and it was warm. Between arriving and leaving was like a different day, the rain had arrived and it was cold…
Asian Hindu Wedding Photography in London: Quite simply I love photographing Asian Hindu wedding ceremonies. The colours, the detail and the food which I am always invited to share with the couple and their family and friends. So I was absolutely delighted when Barathy and Jon asked me to be their London Hindu Wedding Photographer as well as their Kent Wedding Photographer.
As I have good experience photographing Hindu wedding ceremonies in London I knew what to expect, fast pace, exhilarating and exhausting… just how I like it and Barathy and Jon’s Hindu wedding was no exception.
116 Pall Mall IOD Club Wedding Photography: I love wedding venues in London and they don’t come much grander than the IOD Club 116 Pall Mall.
116 Pall Mall is just a stone’s throw away from Trafalgar square in the heart of the west end, this being one of my favourite areas in the country, the building is grade I listed so as you can image it is truly magnificent for wedding photography.
Mark and Novi asked me to be their London Wedding Photographer about 6 months ago and I was buzzing with excitement when I saw the venue. Novo already pre-warned me that her bridesmaids were not camera shy, and she wasn’t lying.
Eltham Palace Weddings: Just a week ago I was photographing Barathy and Jons wedding at Eltham Palace in sunny South London. Eltham Palace is a mixture of a more recently built 1930’s art deco inspired private house and the Great Hall, built in the 1470’s. This is a seriously impressive wedding venue in London. There are photo opportunities everywhere and it was real pleasure to be asked by the couple to be their Eltham Palace wedding photographer.
For the photographers who read my blog posts, Barathy and Jons’ wedding was shot on the Canon 1Dx and the Canon 5DMark 3. Wedding photography with the 1DX is amazing and I am so lucky to use Canons flagship camera.
Wedding photography at Eltham Palace by Gomes Photography
Last Sunday I was at the historic wedding venue Eltham Palace in South London, to meet up with Barathy and Jon for their pre-wedding shoot. The couple decided on South London wedding venue due to its stunning 1930 Art Deco interior and the wonderful Great Hall which will be the setting for their wedding breakfast.
Built next to the remains of Eltham Palace, the childhood home of Henry VIII this really has to be one of the finest wedding venues in London. The gardens are stunning with views across London; I have to admit my imagination is already taking over with what I can do on the day with the wedding photos.
Hall Place and Gardens in Kent Wedding Photography: Hall Place and Gardens in Kent Wedding Photography is great however sometimes, just sometimes the weather is so bad on a wedding day that outdoor photographs simply isn’t going to happen. The jubilee weekend in London was one of those weekends. For Louise and Brandon whose wedding I photographed at the stunning Hall Place and Gardens the weather was deeply disappointing. So in true style we got together a few days later, when the weather had cheered up and did some outdoor photographs.
Brandon and Louise were keen to get back into their wedding outfits for an hours shoot.
Finsbury Old Town Hall Wedding Photography: I was really excited when I first got an email from Conor and Catherine back in 2011 about photographing their Finsbury Old Town Hall Wedding in London. I sensed that this had all of the hallmarks of a big grand London wedding, and they were looking for a wedding photographer to document the whole day.
We met up in Central London and had a glass of wine together to discuss the day. We discussed their requirements I was delighted when they asked me to photograph them getting married at Finsbury Old Town Hall.
Drapers Hall London Wedding Photography
As wedding venues go Drapers Hall has to be up there as one of the most spectacular in London. Its unrivalled opulence and grandeur provides the perfect setting for your London wedding.
There really is no finer setting for the most important day of your life than the spectacular elegance of Drapers’ Hall.
Drapers is steeped in history, richly adorned with works of art and wherever you turn you and your guests will not fail to admire the magnificent painted ceilings and sumptuous furnishings. No wonder Drapers’ Hall is the film-makers favourite ‘double’ for Buckingham Palace, and was recently used in the Oscar winning ‘The Kings Speech’.
Battery Canary Wharf Wedding Photography: The old Nobu premises sitting on the banks of the Thames over looking Canary Riverside is the fantastic Battery. One of London’s newest and most chic wedding venues Battery really does have it all.
The 4th floor is where you will have your ceremony with floor to ceiling windows directly over looking the Thames and views of the City and Canary Wharf. The room is furnished with colourful and contemporary arm chairs for your guests to relax after the ceremony. Other eye-catching design features include the collection of mesmerising, orb-like Anthony Stern pendant lights.
Royal Festival Hall Wedding Photographer: The Royal Festival Hall Recommended Wedding Photographer: As you may have seen from my recent blog I photographed Anna and Andy’s wedding at the Royal Festival Hall in London. Shortly after the blog went live the Halls emailed me to say how impressed they were with the photos. They then asked if I would like to be their recommended wedding photographer. Of course I would, such an iconic venue it would be an honour.
The Royal Festival Hall is currently redesigning their wedding package which when complete will include Gomes Photography and many of the images from Anna and Andy’s wedding.
Trafalgar Tavern in Greenwich Wedding Photography: Last week I was back at the Trafalgar Tavern in Greenwich for my second wedding at the venue in 2012 to photograph the wedding of Shanshan and Charlie. The couple only contacted me a couple of months ago to photograph their Greenwich, London wedding and I was delighted when they chose me.
If you’re getting married at the Trafalgar Tavern it really is a fantastic choice as even if the weather isn’t great, the venue is flooded with beautiful light. Once again thanks to the amazing staff at the Trafalgar Tavern for their excellent hospitality.
Trafalgar Tavern Wedding Photography: On Easter Sunday I was back at the Trafalgar Tavern to photograph the wedding of Vanessa and Mark. Having photographed three Trafalgar Tavern weddings in the last six months and with another four this year at the venue it is quickly becoming my second home. As I am wedding photographer based in the Royal Borough of Greenwich this is not a bad thing at all. I was delighted when the couple told me that they were getting married at the Trafalgar Tavern and they wanted me to document their day. Trafalgar Tavern Wedding Photography is a great experience for any photographer.
Trafalgar Tavern In Greenwich Wedding Photography: The Trafalgar Tavern in the Royal Borough of Greenwich is rapidly becoming one of my favourite London Wedding Venues. Here I am, bags packed, lenses cleaned and memory cards formatted for the wedding of Vanessa and Mark on Easter Sunday 2012.
As an experienced Trafalgar Tavern Wedding Photographer I know that it doesn’t matter if the weather is not on our side as the light in the venue is simply amazing. Getting married at the Trafalgar Tavern’s Nelson Banqueting Rooms which overlooks the Thames will simply wow your guests.
Here are some of the images from my previous Trafalgar Tavern weddings
Tower of London Wedding Photography: I first met Ali and Tom last November, and I like always do before committing to a wedding, we met for a coffee and chat about their wedding day. When the couple told me they were getting married at the Tower of London I was very excited. This I not an opportunity that presents itself too often so I was thrilled when Ali and Tom asked me to photograph their wedding day. So the wedding ceremony at the Tower of London and the reception to be held at the Hilton Hotel in Docklands. I short boat ride down the Thames.
Park Plaza Hotel Victoria London Wedding Photographer: On Saturday 10th March 2012 I was with Annabelle and Rafet to photograph their central London wedding. The couple first got in touch with me back in November to discuss their wedding photography requirements. They had seen my website and liked my contemporary modern style of wedding photography. Many of the wedding venues in Central London are amazing for their stylized decor and modern furnishings… For me as a modern wedding photographer in London I was very excited when I met the couple at the Park Plaza Hotel in Victoria. This was to be the setting for their ceremony followed by the reception at the Double Tree Hilton Hotel (formerly the Hisperia Hotel) literally a stones throw away.
Old Royal Navy College Wedding Photography: On the 18th Feb 2012 I was fortunate enough to be photographing the wedding in Central London of Laura and Raymond. The couple booked me last year after searching in Google for night-time wedding photographers in London and I am delighted they found my website.
When the couple told me that they were getting married at the All Souls Church, Langham Place followed by a meal at the exotic Levant restaurant off Wigmore street and then onto Old Royal Navy College in Greenwich for the wedding reception I knew this would be a wedding to remember.
Trafalgar Tavern Wedding Photographers: I really enjoy photographing weddings at the Trafalgar Tavern in Greenwich London as it is quite simply a fantastic London wedding venue. Sitting on the banks of the Thames in Greenwich the Tavern has views of Canary Wharf, the O2 and of course historic Greenwich.
I was lucky enough to be at the Trafalgar Tavern again this time to photograph the wedding of Carly and Sasha. I met up with Carly and Sasha a few months ago to talk through their wedding day which started of with the church service held at Our Ladye Star of the Sea, also in Greenwich.
