Essex Wedding Photographer: When Jo and Danny contacted me earlier in the year to talk about their winter wedding in Essex they were quite concerned about the low light levels in the church. I was expecting the black hole of Calcutta not the beautifully lit St Nicholas Chapel in Coggeshall, Essex. As a wedding photographer I would much prefer no artificial lighting and just a small amount of natural lighting to work with. I tend not to use flash during the service and would much rather use the available light.
A few weeks before the wedding Jo, Danny myself and Jo’s bridemaid, and sister Rachel met up at the church to have a look around and discuss the day in more detail. This day, unlike their wedding day was glorious weather. The sun was out and it was crisp.
A lot of the images below you also wouldn’t realise that on the day the weather was dreadful, it rained, it snowed blimey it even thundered just after the Lords Prayer (freaky).
Jo and Danny booked me because they loved my contemporary style and they wanted creative, fun wedding photos. I love getting those natural emotive images but then going out and having some fun for something a bit different. Some of the images you will see after the ceremony were taken minutes apart in exactly the same lighting conditions There are no fake skies or superimposed photo-shopping going on in any of my images.
I genuinely want to thank Jo and Danny for asking me to be their Essex Wedding Photographer. You can sense from the images below the type of warm and friendly couple they are and I felt honoured to be there on the day. Just before they went off on their extra long honeymoon Danny sent me a lovely email, which read
“I just wanted to type a quick email to thank you for all of the hard work and enthusiasm that you showed on our big day, you really helped to make it memorable. The photo’s that you have posted so far are simply unbelievable, we are so happy with them and cant wait to see the rest when we get back from our honeymoon.”
The couple have asked that I put the blog up as soon as possible so here are a few of the images from the day. Please feel free to comment if you like what you see.
