Port Lympne Mansion & Gardens Wedding Photography

Port Lympne Mansion & Gardens Wedding Photography Also known at the Aspinal Foundation Port Lympne is located deep in Kent; just sitting on the edge of the famous Wild Animal Park. In my job I see lots of wedding venues and although I visit the same venue many times often I shoot at a totally new venue for me… Until Billie and Alex asked me to photograph their wedding at Port Lympne I’d never been there so I was wondering what a venue so close to a zoo would be like.  It’s certainly a very impressive wedding venue and and I can often tell in the first few minutes if it will be a good venue to shoot at… by that I mean lots of opportunities for creative wedding photography. Port Lympne, for a creative wedding photographer is pretty awesome.. inside the rooms are decorated like nothing I’ve seen before… Stunning murals of animals from all over the world… It really is something to be seen.

Billie and Alex’s wedding was a 2013 first for me… no I don’t mean my first wedding of 2013 I mean my first jacket-less wedding… it really was that warm 😎 . Not a cloud in the sky either. It is great to have a cloudless sky but don’t be fooled into think this will mean effortless wedding photography. It is in fact far more challenging to shoot a wedding in the height of the summer than it is in deep dark winter… why??? because the sun causes very nasty shadows… it might mean your wedding photographer will have to use a touch of flash to lessen the shadows, so don’t be surprised to see your wedding photographer using flash outdoors on a sunny day…

I was only with Billie and Alex for a short while on their wedding day at Port Lympne but here are few of the images taken.

These are gorgeous. The indoor shots are crystal clear and show off every bit of smiles from the guests and couple. The venue looks like a winner with some interesting places to get portraits. Got to say as well you have done a cracking job on the individual portraits. Hats off to you!
