Wimbledon Wedding Photography – Nataly and Nathaniel

Wimbledon Wedding PhotographyWimbledon Wedding Photography: Nataly and Nathaniel got married on a gorgeous day in Wimbledon, South West London on the first Saturday in June.  The couple had only commissioned me a few months previous after finding me on Google. We met up at a bar in the South Bank and they talked me through their wedding. The wedding ceremony and the reception was to be held at The Sacred Heart Church Wimbledon. Built in 1887 this beautiful Catholic church is a fairytale church for a wedding.  A few weeks ago we all met at the church just as Mass was finishing and I managed to spend 10 minutes listening to the Choir and the Congregation singing. It was nice few minutes for me, away from the hustle and bustle of normal day life.

On the morning of the wedding I made my way to Nataly’s parents home to get some photos of her and her bridesmaids getting ready. Everything felt relaxed and calm and no sign of any pre wedding nerves.

I spent about 30minutes at the home before the short drive to the Church where I met up with the guys, and my assistant and fantastic second photographer for the day Kevin Brown.

The Wedding Ceremony

Nataly arrived on time and after a few moments waiting outside the church for everyone to be seated the bride made her grand entrance. The ceremony was lovely, with a few speeches by family and friends. I have to say that the lighting in the church was fantastic for wedding photography. What was lovely was seeing Nataly every now and then looking at Nathaniel, I could tell how happy she was from the looks she was giving him. It’s great when I can photograph from the front of the church as it gives me a great view of not only the couple but also the guests. Thank you to the Father for allowing me to stand there, I also appreciated his kind words after the ceremony and commenting on not knowing I was there during the service.

The Wedding Breakfast

After the ceremony and the the guests had all congratulated Nataly and Nathaniel, I’d finished the group shots that the couple had asked and we’d enjoyed 15 minutes of bride and groom portraits it was time for the wedding breakfast.

The food was absolutely amazing and thank you to the couple for offering Kevin and I a meal, it was very warmly received.

The rest of the evening went so quickly and before long I was packing my bag up to head home. It was truly a wonderful wedding and I would like to thank Nataly and Nathaniel for commissioning me to photograph their wedding at The Sacred Heart Church Wimbledon.

Here are a few images from the day, which I hope you like. If you do please feel free to leave a comment.
