Weddings at the Ritz in London: So where do I start with Tony and Pariena’s wedding at the Ritz last week… In all honesty I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much at a wedding. I remember meeting up with the couple a few months ago to talk about the wedding and getting a sense then that this was going to be a wedding to remember.
It’s no surprise that the Ritz was voted one of the Top 100 Wedding Venues in the UK by Wedding Magazine. It oozes charm and sophistication yet retains a very personal feeling. The staff really know how to look after their guests and will help to make your wedding day extra special.
I consider myself to be very lucky that I have the opportunity to photograph so many weddings and events at the Ritz, it’s almost like a second home to me now. I love wandering through from the main Hotel into the William Kent House, the William Kent Room continues to amaze me.
Back to Tony and Pariena’s wedding… I arrived early with my second shooter for the day Ernie Savarese, a very accomplished wedding photographer… After finding out that parking is free right outside the hotel on a Sunday (yipppeee) we made our way over the road for a hearty breakfast. All fed and watered we made my way back to the Ritz to meet up with the Groom. I again reminded Tony that no pouting was allowed and I had strict instructions from Pariena to ensure any signs of his famous Gorilla arms were swiftly dealt with. 🙂 After getting a few cool shots of Tony I went to find Pariena. After getting some photos of the bride in her dress I made my way to the Music Room for the ceremony.
As the weather was on our side the couple and their guests enjoyed a champagne reception in the Ritz Gardens before heading back to the Music Room for the wedding breakfast. I grabbed the couple for 15mins to go down into the Ritz Casino for some cool photos.
Thanks for looking and I hope you like them as much as I do…
