Berkeley Castle Wedding Photography. Only last week I was in Gloucestershire to photograph Anna and Jehad’s wedding at the stunning Berkeley Castle.
Berkeley Castle is a breathtaking medieval Castle set within stunning grounds, it really is the fairytale wedding venue. Owned by Berkeley family for over 850 years you really get a sense of stepping back in time when you walk into the Castle.
The morning of Anna and Jehad’s wedding I made my way in the pouring rain to meet Anna in the beautiful cottage which they had rented. After getting some bridal preparation shots I drove to the Castle to meet up with Jehad to get some shots of him with the guys. Although I knew I had some lovely shots of Anna getting ready, something was urging me to go back and get some more…. so I made the decision to drive back to the cottage. I’m so glad I did as the final moments before a bride makes her way to the ceremony can be so special.
By the time Anna had made her way to St Mary’s Church , which is a stones throw from Berkeley Castle, the weather had cleared up and the sun was shining.
Anna and Jehad’s wedding at Berkeley Castle really was a wedding to remember… The weather held out, although a few showers late on in the day it didn’t stop the couple having their first dance, surrounded by candle light in the castle courtyard. What a way for me to end their wedding photography coverage.
Thanks to the couple for asking me to shoot their wedding at Berkeley Castle and for making me and my assistant so welcome.
Big up to Chuck too, my uber enthusiastic assistant 🙂 Finally A huge thank you to Berkeley Castles wedding planner (Pippa) and her team for being so welcoming to Chuck and I. It really was appreciated.
As usual here’s a small selection of images from the day… I hope it gives you a taster of what an amazing day it way.
