A Right Royal Greenwich Wedding by Gomes Photography: I never normally look at the weather forecast before a wedding but if I had it would have shown me one of those symbols which includes a bit of everything. Driving over to the Radisson Blu Edwardian New Providence Wharf Hotel in Canary Wharf to meet with Luci the weather was awesome, sun was shining and it was warm. Between arriving and leaving was like a different day, the rain had arrived and it was cold…
Luci and Gareth (Bride and Groom) had decided that their wedding venue was to be the Trafalgar Tavern in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. A venue that I have photographed at a number of times over the past couple of years.
After getting some bridal preparation photos at the Radisson Blu I made my way to the Tavern. Gareth had just arrived and everything was on track. Guests were starting to arrive too and the Trafalgar Tavern’s Nelson Banqueting Rooms were all set for the wedding ceremony and the reception.
I often get asked by guests if I get tired of photographing weddings…. well the honest answer is no… No two weddings are the same and I don’t mean the obvious, different bride and grooms and different guests… I do genuinely enjoy meeting new people and being apart of a wedding but equally I enjoy the challenge of delivering an amazing collection of wedding photos. Ever wedding is different in terms of lighting and being able to craft light and knowing when to enhance it is the challenge I love.
Anyway, a massive thanks to Luci and Gareth for asking me to photograph their wedding at the Trafalgar Tavern.
